Spot Landing Contest
This past Sunday we gathered a crowd to enjoy a February afternoon. Many folks had burgers, beans and also enjoyed Chess Sargent’s birthday cake. We understand he’s 29.
Promptly at 2 pm we began the Spot Landing contest.
Judge Alton DeWeese has declared the following as winners of the 2023 Headland Spot Landing Contest.
#1 Craig Keller Instructor Pilot with Flight Services Inc of Headland flying the infamous N60899 C150 at 6 Ft.
#2 Pete Barnes of Shorterville Al in his trusty Taylor Craft at 13 Ft.
#3 Charlie Dicey of Dothan in his newly acquired RV-12 at 27Ft.
All that attended had a great time!

Henry County Youth Leadership visit HDL to learn more about aviation
What a great group of young people we had today!! We were honored to have the Henry County Youth Leadership class at HDL. We started with a trick air show, discussed the benefits and opportunities of aviation in our community and wrapped up at Survival Flight 15. Thank you to everyone who volunteered time to share how aviation is an asset to Henry County!
